I have posted another podcast. This is my 2nd although I lost a couple that I’m still looking for. “The Lost Episodes”.
Anyway this one isn’t too good I’m thinking. It seems to have a lot of wind noise which is odd because it wasn’t that windy. Maybe a new microphone is in order I’m afraid. Well it’s a work in progress. On this one I ramble on about nothing or course and also touch on the points and miles collecting hobby that I have.
Just click to save or right click to save. Then click “file” and “Add to library” in iTunes to get it so you can add it to your iPod. Not sure how to do this on iPad. Most likely you can just click to listen on a mobile phone.
So I’ve been busy moving from Wentzville Missouri to Wellsville Kansas lately. I’m sorry for the gap in posting lately. I’ve also been working on doing a new personal running podcast. My goal is to use it to stay in touch with my friend Brad mostly as he is preparing to move overseas. So I will aim my comments at him and try to keep it from getting too personal of course. Well maybe a little heckling of him just to keep him in account.
Anyway here is the link to my dropbox file for this first podcast.
If you want to put this on your ipod just save the file to your computer or where ever. You should be able to right click to “save as” or just click it to go to the file. Open iTunes. Once in iTunes click on “File” then on “Add File to Library” then browse to the file and click Open or OK for iTunes to add it. From there you can drag it into your iPhone or iPod, etc. like normal.

It’s been a long hard winter in the Midwest where I live. We’ve had a couple warm days recently but only to head back into days of cold weather. The cold days are getting warmer but I “NEED” Spring to arrive SOON. It has been a hard Winter for running, which is my favorite sport. I’m just starting to get back into the groove but now I’m 10 pounds over my normal running weight. It gets so hard to lose weight the older you get.
Anyway I love Spring. I used to think Summer was my favorite but Spring seems to be now. Right around Easter it’s always so nice to get outside and see the new grass and plants turning green. New life all over the place. Maybe that’s why celebrating Easter and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is so special. He gives us New Life through his sacrifice just like God gives new life to physically to plants, animals, etc. He is the Light of the world.
I’m a typically movie loving guy I guess. I have a real passion for great war movies. I’ve argued with myself about what are the best war movies of all time. It sounds like a simple top 10 list but it’s really not. There are so many different types of war movies. How much drama versus action is perfect. Too many flashbacks can equal a poor movie in some cases. So for my current (subject to change at any time) list of all around best war movies here is what I have on my top list:
The Longest Day
Act of Valor
We were soldiers
Saving Private Ryan
Band of Brothers (although an actually miniseries)
Black Hawk Down
A Bridge Too Far
The Great Escape
Where Eagles Dare
The Horse Soldiers
Battle of Britain
Keep in mind this list doesn’t include any ancient history type war movies. Only modern era and a few civil war movies.. I know it’s missed some like Platoon, Apocalypse Now and some others but I said “best” not “all”. Any suggestions for something I may have missed? Outlaw Josie Wales and Ride with the Devil get honorable mention as does Strategic Air Command but either don’t quite fit the mold or I’m not sure they belong. For example Gone with the Wind or The Sound of Music are war related but really not war movies.
What do you want free golf? Well golf isn’t free but you might be able to score a free club from Taylormade. Like the golf ball offer I can’t promise you’ll get this but it’s worth a shot (pardon the puns).
